Describe a period when you felt depressed

Describe a period when you felt depressed

The last year of my high school was probably the most depressive period of my life. The pressure came from many aspects, including academics and personal life. I faced pressure from having to manage a heavy workload of about 11 subjects, which was really stressful. The greatest stress came from science subjects like Physics and Chemistry. Because I had forgotten the basic rules and concepts of these disciplines, it took a lot of time to do exercises.

The pressure was not just academic. I also felt stressed about choosing the right university and major. I was torn between choosing a school with a high pass rate and a major that would lead to a good career path. The uncertainty and fear of making the wrong choice added to my stress.

This was a challenging period in my life, but I managed to overcome it with the help of my teacher. She told me, “Just do your best and don’t worry about the results. Life is full of failures, and it’s how we learn and grow.” Her words resonated with me and helped me shift my perspective.

I started focusing on doing my best rather than worrying about the outcome. I put in my best effort in my studies, but also took time to take care of my mental health.

Looking back, although it was a difficult period, it was also a time of growth and learning. It taught me the importance of resilience, self-care, and having a positive mindset. Even though I faced challenges, I learned to overcome them, and this experience has made me stronger
