Sample answer to describe a rule that is important in your school or at work
Well, you know, one rule at our school that really stands out to me, and I think it’s pretty important, is this requirement for all of us students to speak English. So, basically, what this means is that we’re supposed to use English as our go-to language for just about everything while we’re on school grounds.
So, here’s the thing: if we’re chatting with friends, talking to our teachers, or even asking the staff something, we need to do it in English. And, you know, I guess it makes sense in a way, given the whole point of the rule.
Now, if someone, let’s say, slips up and starts speaking Vietnamese, which, of course, happens from time to time, they actually get fined. It’s like 10,000 Vietnamese dong for each time they do it. It might sound a bit harsh, but that’s how it is.
Personally, I think this rule, you know, as tough as it might seem, is super important. It’s all about getting us students to really dive into using English and getting better at it. It creates this whole environment where English is the norm, and that’s pretty crucial for us to actually learn and get good at the language.
As for how I feel about it, well, I have to say I’m pretty on board with it. It’s helped me a lot, and I’ve seen it help my classmates too. We’re all getting more confident and skilled with English. Sure, the fines are kind of a drag, but they do make us think twice before reverting to Vietnamese. And, after a while, you kind of just naturally start speaking English without even thinking about it.
So, yeah, all in all, I’m definitely in favor of this rule. It’s a big part of what makes our school what it is, and I really appreciate that.

What rules should children follow at home in your country?
In my country, it is crucial for children to participate in household chores. This rule is based on the belief that contributing to household tasks teaches children responsibility and teamwork. For example, a child might be expected to help set the dinner table, reinforcing the idea of contributing to family life and learning practical life skills. Additionally, one important rule children should follow at home is to respect their elders. This involves listening attentively when elders are speaking and responding politely
On what occasions can children be forgiven if they don’t follow some rules?
There are occasions where it’s acceptable for children not to strictly adhere to the rules, especially when it serves a greater educational purpose or aligns with cultural practices. For instance, during exam periods, it’s understandable if a child prioritizes study over household chores, as focusing on academic success is highly valued. Additionally, during special cultural events like Tet, the Vietnamese Lunar New Year, normal routines like early bedtimes may be relaxed to allow children to participate in family and cultural activities, emphasizing the importance of tradition and family bonding.
What rules should people follow when using public transport?
Passengers using public transport are expected to follow rules that prioritize the well-being of all commuters and the smooth operation of the service. These rules encompass behaviors such as queuing in an orderly manner, adhering to designated waiting areas, and refraining from eating or drinking in restricted areas. For example, waiting patiently in line at a bus stop ensures fairness and orderliness, contributing to a stress-free travel experience for everyone involved.

In public places, people are expected to follow rules that promote respect and safety for everyone. This includes not engaging in disruptive behavior, such as loud conversations or playing music at high volumes, which helps maintain a peaceful environment for all. Additionally, it’s important to adhere to safety regulations, like following traffic signals and not littering, to ensure both personal and public well-being. For example, in a park, individuals are expected to dispose of their trash properly and keep noise to a reasonable level, ensuring the space remains clean and enjoyable for others.
What are the reasons that cause people to break rules?
People break rules for various reasons, often stemming from factors like convenience and personal motives. This disobedience can occur when individuals perceive rule-breaking as a shortcut to achieving their goals or when they believe the rule is unnecessary or unfair. For example, some drivers may exceed speed limits to reach their destination faster, seeing the rule as an inconvenience, despite the potential risks involved.
