Sample answer to describe a person who has strong opinions
One person who comes to mind when I think of someone with strong opinions is my uncle, Minh. He’s the kind of guy who’s not afraid to speak his mind, whether people agree with him or not. I first got to know him well during family gatherings, and he always stood out because of how passionately he talks about things.
I think the reason I see him as someone with strong opinions is because he’s very well-read and informed. He doesn’t just share his views for the sake of it – he has facts and figures to back them up. He’s the type of person who will dig into a topic deeply before forming a view, and once he’s made up his mind, it’s pretty hard to change it.
One of his strongest opinions is about environmental issues. He’s a firm believer that climate change is the most pressing issue of our time, and he’s not shy about calling out companies or even governments that don’t take it seriously. He’s always banging on about how we need to reduce waste and switch to renewable energy. Sometimes he gets a bit carried away and can come across as a bit of a know-it-all, but you can’t deny that he’s got a point.
As for how I feel about his opinions, well, to be honest, I agree with most of what he says. There are times when I think he could tone it down a bit – you know, not everyone wants to hear about climate change at a family BBQ! But at the end of the day, I respect the fact that he stands by his beliefs and doesn’t just follow the crowd.
